Yes. I know it’s been a long time. I shall write a proper post about the events till now but anyway, I have FINALLY moved house. I’m loving the new house (love at first sight kind) and I just need that extra bit of motivation to actually unpack my stuff. Attended a kickass HP event courtesy of an invite from Daryl which I will certainly write about soon as well.
But for now, it is all business.
I bought these babies awhile back in the hope of finding another avenue to make (or mix.. whatever) music. No hopes of big venues and screaming crowds (ok fine maybe slightly) but really just as a bedroom DJ. Then school and a whole load of other stuff came along and I hardly had time to do anything of productive use on them. Anyway, the time for parting has come and I am selling my two turntables.
Some fast facts:
1. Model: Stanton STR8-150
2. Price: $500
3. Features: I bought these decks not just because they’re damn pretty (blue and white lights all) but because of their anti-skip function due to the technology that is the straight tone arm. The decks come with all the necessary equipment such as cables, cartridges, slipmats for plug-and-play ease. It’s not very hard to see why this model won 2005 Turntable of the Year. The decks also feature multiple pitch control settings as well as play at both 33 and 45rpm.
Have included some pictures of the two decks. Check out Remix Mag’s review of the turntable here.

If you are interested or have friends who might be, you can drop me a message here or mail me at mark.the.cheng@gmail.com. My one condition is that you show them a bit more action than I have and use them to their full potential. And if one day, because of these decks, you end up in some big arena or spinning for some big event..
I BETTER GET INVITES!
